Canine Fact
There is an old saying that goes "Every child should have a dog and parents who'll let him have one." Research from Warwick University (published in Your Dog magazine 2002) has shown that children who are brought up with a dog do better in school, are more relaxed and confident, are more responsible and have a healthier respect for others.

About Your Hosts



Diana is the lead dog in this here pack.  She is a self-taught dog identifier (go ahead, challenge her!) and the chief pooper scooper. 

Diana's first dog was Fluffy, a smart Cock-a-Poo born in 1970 ... back before they were cool.  Fluffy used to jump into the bathtub to let Diny know her water bowl was empty.  This little routine usually took place after Fluffy would use one of Mom's meatballs as a play toy/snack.  Mmmmm, musta been some tasty meatballs, Mom!   

Next, was a cute little Beagle/Wire-Haired Terrier named April. Diana got her when she was 3 and still had her when Rick started sniffin' around during the college years. 

But of course, it wasn't long after that that the true love of Diana's life, Kodi, joined the family.


Rick is the faithful companion of the pack and loves a real man's dog.  You won't find any poodles on his lap, it's gotta be manly! 

Rick's first dog was Tubby, a Cocker Spaniel mix.  Tubby loved her some Jack in the Box left-overs (think McDonalds, but with tacos) and dirty diapers straight outta the trash!  (Yeah ... realll manly there, Rick!)

Following the Tubby years, there were a couple of Lhaso Ahpsos (Mom's dogs, but boy were they smart!) before Rick struck out on his own with his first real man's dog, Kodi.


Diana and Rick have always had a love for dogs and are passing that joy onto the kids - Bailey and Ian - who thought they'd never get over losing Kodi, but now can't imagine how they ever got along without Otis!  Bailey and Ian will also share some of their ideas with you so your kids can relate with like-minded dog lovers.

The whole family wants to share their love for dogs with you.  The things they think are cool, fun, funny, sad, thought provoking and just downright good to know.

We hope you learn something here (and hope you'll share with us), and find something cool to introduce your dog to, but most of all we just want you to enjoy some Cool Things For Dogs!
